I was waiting to post a tutorial on our Tryout section as we are currently in the process of upgrading it... but I keep getting a ton of requests for help... so here is a quick explanation on how to post a Tryout.
First go to your Team Dash page and scroll down to the Tryouts box on the right hand side...
Then select the 'Post a New Tryout' button. You will then see the following screen...
The top field titled 'Date' is when you want the Tryout to begin showing up on the league site... which by default is set to right now. This field will be hidden in the upgrade.
The next field titled 'Expires' is when you want the Tryout to stop showing on the league site... which by default is also set to now. Confusing I know, but this will be changed also. Just make sure you select a date that is after your actual Tryout date to ensure you get the kids who come to the site on your actual Tryout day.
The next field is a Drop-down box called 'Age Group' which allows you to post Tryouts for Age levels other than your own. That is because 90% of you will move up in Age level next year and we have not yet activated your 2012 team pages. We are also upgrading our Team pages so this will all flow a lot nicer in the near future.
The next field called 'Title' is just a place for you to quickly say what you are looking for or when your Tryout date actually is. The more descriptive the more kids will click on your link... so make it obvious.
The final field is where you add all the details of your Tryout such as When, Where, Who and whatever else is important to the kid or parents.
